A Visual Autobiography
A Story of Survival, Service, and Purpose
"My name is Gloria Devolliere."
I was born in Haiti, raised by a loving family, and shaped by every challenge life placed in front of me. My journey has taken me across countries, careers, and experiences that transformed me into the woman I am today. This is the story of resilience, service, growth, and purpose.
Begin My Journey→I was born in Haiti in a big family. Growing up surrounded by family taught me resilience, gratitude, faith, and the importance of helping others. Even though life wasn't always easy, those early years gave me the strength that would guide me for the rest of my life.

"Family was my first lesson in love."

My family moved to the United States during my teenage years. Suddenly everything was different — a new country, a new language, a new culture, and a completely new way of life. Those changes were difficult, but they taught me perseverance. I stayed focused, graduated from high school, and later earned my Associate of Arts degree.

After earning my degree, I wasn't sure what career path to follow. Nursing required many more years of school, and I needed to begin working. My sister, who is a nurse, encouraged me to earn my CCHT certification. I took her advice, and once I began working with dialysis patients, I discovered a passion for caring for others.
While working as a dialysis technician, I also joined the military. I deployed overseas and experienced situations that challenged me physically and mentally. The military taught me leadership, discipline, teamwork, and how to remain calm under pressure.
Whether wearing medical scrubs or a military uniform, my purpose remained the same: helping people when they needed someone the most.
Two uniforms. One mission: show up when people are vulnerable and don't flinch.

Learning has always been an important part of my journey. Today I am continuing my education by pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations. Every new class represents another investment in my future.
Professionally, my experiences in healthcare and military service have strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. I continue working toward becoming the best version of myself.

When I am not working or studying, I enjoy traveling, listening to music, and watching horror movies. But my favorite title is Auntie. My nieces are my greatest source of happiness and inspiration. They remind me every day why hard work, kindness, and perseverance truly matter.
My journey is still being written. My goals are to continue growing, complete my bachelor's degree, build a family of my own, continue learning, and keep becoming a better version of myself. Every challenge I have overcome has prepared me for the future I am creating.
Complete my Bachelor of Arts.
A home filled with love.
Curiosity is a lifelong companion.
Lead with purpose.
Become her, every single day.
The mission never ends.

I left Haiti as a teenager with nothing but my family and hope.
Now I have a diploma, a degree, a license, a deployment, and a future I'm still building.
Haiti taught me how to survive.
America taught me how to serve.
My nieces remind me why it all matters.
Thank you for taking the time to experience my story.
